Delores (Boser) Hoffman

Delores Boser Hoffman, age 85, of Little Falls, formerly of Pierz passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Nicholas Landsberger officiating.Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Lastrup, MN.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 and 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 all at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN.

There will be a Parish Prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by the Christian Mothers Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and Secular Franciscan Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.

Delores was born on February 6, 1928, in Buckman Township, Morrison County, Minnesota the daughter of Leo & Elizabeth (Duhin) Voigt.She grew up on a farm and attended District #99 country school.She worked as a nanny in Little Falls, at Quality Ice Cream Shop in Little Falls, at Sands Caf in Little Falls and also worked for the Rationing Board during WW II in 1943.She was united in marriage to Peter H. Boser on November 5, 1949 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN.The couple made their home on a farm near Lastrup where they raised their family.Peter passed away in 1978 and Delores continued living on the farm.In 1984, she married Victor Hoffman and later moved into Pierz.Victor died in 2004 after 20 years of marriage.Delores was involved in many organizations including the Christian Mothers serving as the president in Lastrup, Lastrup Mission Circle, DCCW of which she was president, was a Foster Grandmother for many years, and taught religion in Pierz, Alexandria, Little Falls and even out of her apartment.She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, visiting, palm weaving, spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren.Delores was awarded the Outstanding Senior Citizen in Morrison County in 2006 and recently received the Book of Golden Deeds award in March, 2013.She always gave freely of her time and talents.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Evie (Grant) Pochardt of Stewartville, MN, Marlene Peterson of Fridley, MN, Ginny Melby of Kasson, MN, Bunny (Mike) Barrett of Brainerd, MN, Alvin (Marilyn) Boser of Pierz, MN, Kathy (Mike) Markman of Sartell, MN, Patty (Todd) Roth of Alexandria, MN, Pete (Lou) Boser of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Wendlin (Irene) Voigt of Washington, Frank (Mary) Voigt of Pierz, MN, Betty Boser of Pierz, MN, Robert (Bev) Voigt of Sauk Rapids, MN; brother-in-law, Arnold Loesch of St. Cloud, MN and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Voigt of Texas; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Peter Boser and Victor Hoffman; siblings, Anna Voigt, Mary Loesch, Leonard Voigt.
