Deborah Debbie McCrudden, age 77, of Little Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the Little Falls Care Center. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Randy Welsand officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church on Saturday.The burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN at a later date.
Deborah J. Chappell was born October 10, 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Donaldand Dorothy (Peterson) Chappell.She grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota she graduated in 1955 from White Bear Lake High School. She attended the University of Minnesota.Deborah J. Chappell was united in marriage to Richard Dick McCrudden on August 24, 1957 in White Bear Lake, MN.The couple lived in Red Wing, White Bear Lake, Upsala and Little Falls, MN.Deborah worked at American National Bank, Community First Bank in Little Falls, MN for 21 years. She also was a State Animal Welfare Agent for the state of Minnesota serving Morrison and Todd counties. She was a founding member of the Morrison County Humane Society and also served on the board for several years. Deborah was a master gardener and loved helping others with gardening issues. Deborah enjoyed tending to her fish pond and her beloved dogs, Kelly, Casey and Duffy. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Savior in Little Falls, MN, where she played the piano and organ for over forty years.
Left to Cherish her memory are her children, Vicki (Duane) Hochstatter of Fargo, ND, Nancy (John) McCrudden-Carlson of Little Falls, MN, Thomas McCrudden of Oakdale, MN and Peter McCrudden of Little Falls, MN; sister, Diane Mitchell of Anahiem, CA; grandchildren, Tara Hochstatter, Adam Hochstatter, Seth Hochstatter, Michelle McCrudden and Michael McCrudden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy Chappell ; husband, Richard Dick McCrudden in 2008 and a brother, Don Chappell.
