Dale Rahn, 61 year old resident of Bowlus, MN, died Saturday, October 31 in Royalton, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN with Father John Odero officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 A.M. on Saturday until the hour of the service all visitation time will be at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. A parish prayer will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Friday evening at the church.
Dale Lawrence Rahn was born on September 6, 1954 in Little Falls, MN to Lawrence and June (Williams) Rahn. He grew up in Burtrum, MN and graduated from Grey Eagle High School with the class of 1972. He was united in marriage to Betty Laumeyer in 1979. Together the couple had two boys, Jason and Justin. The couple later divorced. Dale worked for 30 plus years at Crestliner Boats in Little Falls, MN and for several years as an assembler at Polar Tank in Opole, MN. Dale was united in marriage to Judy Jendro on September 14, 1990 in St. Cloud, MN. The couple made their home in Bowlus, MN. Dale enjoyed his time spent with family at his cabin on Big Swan Lake. He enjoyed fishing, pontooning, shaking dice, playing cards and hunting. Dale treasured his time spent deer hunting with his son, Jasonand friend, Jerry and all the shenanigans that would occur during the hunt. Dale was a member of Two Rivers Snowmobiling Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jason Rahn of Little Falls, MN, Justin Rahn of Minneapolis, MN; parents, Lawrence and June Rahn of Burtrum, MN; step-children, Kellie Thommes of Cumberland, WI, Steve Thommes of St. Cloud, MN; step-grandchildren, Marissa Kreifels and Brittni Kreifels; siblings, Wayne (Janice) Rahn of Burtrum, MN, Pam (Randy) Block of Lastrup, MN; brothers-in-law, David (Marie) Jendro of Laporte, MN, Gary Jendro of Royalton, MN and Ralph Jendro of Pierz, MN; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Ervin) Fleischaker of Paynesville, MN, Audrey (Ronald) Kloss of Royalton, MN and 35 nieces and nephews.
The casket bearers will be: Steve Marty, Tim Mohlenkamp, Bill Henry, Dennis Reis, Marty Dvorak, Jeff Solorz.
The honorary casket bearers: Gary Jendro, Ralph Jendro, Wayne Rahn, Pam Block, Jerry Zilkoski.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Rahn in 2014 and his maternal and paternalgrandparents.
