Claude Sylvester Motschke

Claude S. Motschke, age 50 of Buckman, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at his home in Pierz Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, Minnesota with Rev. Gerald Dalseth and Rev. Kenneth Brenny concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman. Christian Mothers and the Catholic Aid Society will pray the Rosary at 4:30 P.M. Wednesday afternoon at the church in Buckman followed by parish prayers at 7:00 P.M. Claude Sylvester Motschke was born November 7, 1960 in Little Falls, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Joseph F. and Leona C. (Kasper) Motschke. He attended Pierz Healy High School graduating in 1979. Following high school, Claude farmed on the family farm until 1986. He then worked at Fingerhut in St. Cloud until 2002. Claude was united in marriage to Lisa Marie Przybilla on August 18, 1990 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman. From 2002 until July of 2009, Claude worked at Midwest Lumber in Big Lake, Minnesota until his failing health forced him to quit working. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Claude's favorite thing to do was to listen to Old Tyme Music and tell jokes to who ever would listen. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman and the Catholic Aid Society. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa; son, Eric Przybilla of Buckman, Minnesota & special friend, Alicia Schneider; daughter, Heather Motschke of Buckman, Minnesota and special friend, Brett Stumpf; siblings, Yvonne (Steve) Larson of Little Falls, Minnesota, Sandra (Walter) Osterholt of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Cheryl Motschke of St. Cloud, Minnesota and sister-in-law, Karin Motschke of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Leona Motschke; brother, Eugene Motschke and a sister, Lois Motschke. Casketbearers are Brian Gangl, Neil Przybilla, David Gangl, Duane Przybilla, Paul Przybilla and Terry Likens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials.
