Christopher Paul Weisz

Christopher Weisz, 61 year old resident of Hillman, MN died Saturday, March 28 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 1 at 10:30 AM at St. Ritas Catholic Church in Hillman, MN with Fr. Greg Poser officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:30 AM until the hour of service on Wednesday at the church.

Christopher Weisz was born March 21, 1954 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Alfred and Virginia (Nelson) Weisz.He attended school in Milaca, MN, graduating with the class of 1972.After his schooling, he began farming in Lakin Township, Morrison County. He was united in marriage to Pamela Burggraff on August 17, 1985 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton, MN.The couple made their home in Lakin Township, where they have farmed for the past 29 years. Christopher enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, gardening and discussing politics.His children remember spending time with dad at Bluefin Resort and at the cabin on Pierz Fish Lake. He was a member of St. Ritas Catholic Church, where he was a former trustee, the Knights of Columbus. He served on the boards of the Ramey Co-op Creamery and AMPI.

He is survived by Pamela Weisz; children, Laura Weisz of Troy, OH and Anthony Weisz of Hillman, MN; siblings, John (Mignonette) Weisz of Pierz, MN, Steve (Nancy) Weisz of Highlands Ranch, CO, Jerry (Deb) Weisz of Hillman, MN, Michael (Pauline Riendeau) of North Hampton, NH, Kevin (Susan) Weisz of New Hope, MN, Andrew Weisz of Hillman, MN, Judith (Charles) Johnson of International Falls, MN, Nancy (Ron) McRoberts of Hugo, MN and Jean (fiancCarl Soderstrom) Weisz of Longwood, FL and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Virginia (Nelson) Weisz.
