Charles "Chuck" Millner, 59 year old resident of Pierz, MN, passed away at his home Friday, December 28, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN, with Fr. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz. There will be time for Sharing of Memories at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Charles "Chuck" Millner was born on July 3, 1953 in Little Falls, MN, the son of Reinhart & Armella (Fleckenstein) Millner. He was a graduate of Pierz Healy High School, Class of 1971. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and graduated in 1975 with a business degree. He was united in marriage to Deborah Gohl on April 19, 1975 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morrill, MN. He took over the family farm in Pierz Township and farmed up to the time of his death. Chuck enjoyed biking, hiking, golfing, fishing, running, bowling, riding his Harley, playing cards and loved farming. Even though he farmed, it never held him back. He enjoyed taking time to participate in races and traveling with his family. He especially enjoyed his trips to Peru, Africa, Alaska, and Ireland. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deb Millner of Pierz; children, Chad (Desta Meyer) Millner of Eden Prairie and Nicole Millner of San Clemente, CA; siblings, Bonnie (Don) Marshik of Pierz, Dennis (Jean) Millner of St. Peter, Sandy (Larry) Smith of Crookston, Joyce Wilczek of Iowa, David (Connie) Millner of Bainbridge, NY and Joel (Pat) Millner of Hershey, PA. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale and brother-in-law Robbie Varsnick. Memorials preferred and will be forwarded to the Amyloidosis Foundation, 7151 North Main Street, Suite 2, Clarkston, MI, 48346.
