Cecilia Millner

Cecilia Millner 93 year old resident of Pierz, MN, died Sunday, February 14 at Meadow Ponds in Pierz, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 20 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 19 at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 20 at the funeral home. A Christian Mothers Rosary will be said at 4:30 P.M. on Friday evening followed by the Parish Prayers at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Cecilia Millner was born August 31, 1922 in Buckman, MN to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Huver) Marshik. She attended school in Hillman, MN. She was united in marriage to Richard Millner, Sr. on June 19, 1944 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. The couple made their home on the Millner family farm near Pierz. She was a homemaker all of her life raising the couples four children. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, embroidering, gardening and rock collecting. The grandchildren remember the wonderful smell of fresh baked bread, covered in grandmas strawberry jelly, coming from grandmas kitchen. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. She was a member of the Christian Mothers.

Remembering her love and compassion are her children, Carol (Brian) Sullivan of Ramsey, MN, Don (Mary) Millner of Dassel, MN and Laurie (Michael) Menke of Woodbury, MN; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leo Marshik and Ervin (Clarice) Marshik all of Buckman, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Thomas Millner, Sr. (2001), son,Richard Dick Millner, Jr. (2010); granddaughter, Lisa M. Millner and a great-granddaughter, Marisa Millner.
