Cecelia M. Firle

Cecelia M. Firle, age 82, of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Mark Innocenti officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. Friday at the church with a Christian Mother's Rosary at 10:30 A.M. Cecelia Marie Stanek was born on September 2, 1926 in Little Falls, Minnesota to the late Joseph L. & Mary (Waltman) Stanek. She graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1942. She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Firle on June 28, 1948 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN. The couple lived in Minneapolis from 1948 to 1993 when they retired to Little Falls. While living in Minneapolis, they were active members of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Southeast Minneapolis. She retired from Sears Service Center in Minneapolis. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Little Falls V.F.W. Auxiliary and Little Falls American Legion Auxiliary. Cecelia was proud to be a twenty-year survivor of breast cancer. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tim Firle of Rockford, Kathy (Don) Schultz of Babbitt, and Sandy Truehart of Coon Rapids; grandchildren Amy (Martin) Lee, Anne (Anthony) Endreson, Jennifer (Matthew) Preston, Stacie (Dan) Endreson, Jill Kane and Adam (Jenny) Schultz; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Kyle, Payton and Wyatt Preston, Brady and Alexander Endreson, Elin and Gavin Endreson, Simon Lee and Sammy Schultz and brother, Dan Stanek of Little Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard "Dick" T. Firle (May 8, 2008); son-in-law, Raymond Truehart; sister, Irene (Leo) Haehn and brothers, Otto and Clarence Stanek. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
