Carol Elaine (Rahn) Rudolph, 73 year old resident of Rice, MN died Friday, November 12 at her home in Rice, MN surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 15 at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice, MN with Father Tim Wenzel officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud, MN. Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN and from 9:00-10:00 A.M. on Monday at the church. Parish Prayer will be said at 5:30 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Carol Elaine Rudolph was born on June 17, 1937 in Monticello, MN to the late Olaf and Pearl (Schultz) Bakken. She attended Monticello school and graduated in 1955. She was united in marriage to Leslie Rahn on November 3, 1956 in Annandale, MN. In early years she worked as a lead typist in Minneapolis, MN. She also worked at First Edina National Bank in Edina, MN and at First National Bank in Minneapolis, MN. The family moved to Buffalo, MN where she worked for Hoffmann Electric Company. In 1968, the family moved to Little Falls, MN, where Carol worked for Silker Studios for 21 years. In 1988, she started working at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, MN. She was employed there for 14 years, retiring on December 28, 2002. She was united in marriage to James Alois Rudolph on June 14, 2002. After her retirement, she accompanied her husband James, helping him with his truck driving business. She loved going to the Casino, playing Bingo and playing cards with family and friends. She looked forward to the vacations she took with her husband. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James "Jim" Rudolph of Rice, MN; children, Craig Rahn of Cushing, MN, Douglas (Jeanette) Rahn of Cushing, MN, Debra (Randy) Kaeter of St. Joseph, MN, Mary (Jim) Wunderlich of Avon, MN Joseph (Marie) Rudolph of Sartell, MN Michael Rudolph of Shakopee, MN and David (Tammy) Rudolph of Menominee, WI; grandchildren, Brenda Rahn, Nicole Rahn, Sam Rahn, Marshall Rahn, Eason Rahn, Jenny (Ryan) Mrosla, Jason (Tara) Kaeter, Jean Rosenburger, Jessica Kaeter, Troy (Janelle) Wunderlich, Nicole Wunderlich, Abby Wunderlich, Bradley Rudolph, Megan Rudolph and Kyle Rudolph; great-grandchildren, Dannica Crystal Rahn, Emily Mrosla, Alex Mrosla, Tyler Kaeter, Jordyn Kaeter, Haley Rosenburger and Maci Rosenburger; brother, Owen (Phyllis) Bakken of Monticello, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dean in December of 1977; her first husband, Leslie on May 2, 1999 and two grandchildren, Jimmy and Amanda Rahn. Casket Bears will be: Marshall Rahn, Eason Rahn, Donald Rudolph, Jason Kaeter, Bruce Bakken and M. George Rhoe. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Mary Ann Mallak, Elaine Hayes, Judy Ament and Mary Gundlach.
