Carl F. Leidenfrost, 82 year old resident of Buckman, MN, died Wednesday, August 14 at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 23 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating.Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.A visitation will be held Thursday, August 22 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday at the church.A Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 P.M. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Carl F. Leidenfrost was born January 15, 1931 in Agram Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Fred and Angela (Kippley) Leidenfrost. Carl attended and graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 1950. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Neddie Boser on August 26, 1957 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Pierz, MN.The couple farmed together all their lives until moving to Buckman, MN in 2004. Carl enjoyed baseball, softball, bowling, hunting and vacationing. Carl served on the St. Michaels School Board, Buckman Creamery Board and the St. Michaels Parish Council and ushered at St. Michaels Church.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a life long member of the Farmers Union.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jeanette Neddie Leidenfrost of 55 years; children, Carla (Ralph) Hanneken of Buckman, MN, Carrie (Dave) Hoffman of Rogers, MN, Janice (Rick) Stang of Maple Grove, MN, Bob (Lisa) Leidenfrost of Buckman, MN, Julie (Tom) Kummet of Pierz, MN, Kay (Tim) Pappenfus of Buckman, MN; grandchildren, Lynn Gunderson, Jill Scott, Derek Hoffman, Brandon Hoffman, Angela Stang, Steven Stang, Michael Stang, Zachary Kummet, Dylan Kummet, Abby Kummet, Matthew Kummet, Will Pappenfus and Mason Pappenfus, Ben Leidenfrost and Emily Leidenfrost; great-grandchildren, Alli Hanneken, Lucas Scott, Hattie Gunderson and Brantley Gunderson; siblings,Herb Leidenfrost of Little Falls, MN, Lee Leidenfrost of Pierz, MN and Clara Zimny of Royalton, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Angela Leidenfrost; brother, Alvin Leidenfrost and a sister, Rita Streasick.
