Bruce W. Pfeiffer

Bruce W. Pfeiffer, age 61, of Swanville, MN, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Swanville, MN, with Rev. John O. Grein officiating. Interment with military honors will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery north of Swanville, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Swanville with a prayer service at (time). Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Bruce Wayne Pfeiffer was born on July, 24, 1950 in Little Falls, Minnesota the son of Verdell & Ila (Karstens) Pfeiffer. He grew up on a farm near Swanville. He attended school in Swanville graduating in 1968. He continued his schooling at Staples Vo-Tech. He was united in marriage to Debbie Tholen on May 13, 1972 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Bruce was drafted into the United States Army where he served for two years. Following his service, he returned to farming with his family. He later purchased a poultry farm north of Swanville. Bruce enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting, pitching horseshoes, watching football, especially the Vikings, camping with his family, playing cards and baking bread. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie of Swanville; children, Kevin (Becky) Pfeiffer of Plymouth, MN, Steven (McKenna) Pfeiffer of Hudson, WI, and Michelle Pfeiffer of Hopkins, MN; siblings, Alan (Vicki) Pfeiffer of Auburn, WA, Debbie (Steve) Braegelman of Roy, WA, Pam (Dan) Farrow of Burtrum, MN, Lynn Pfeiffer of Summit, WA; Karla (Rodney) Mueller of Motley, MN and Lyle (Chris) Pfeiffer of Burtrum, MN and brother-in-law, Jim Wassell of Las Vegas, NV. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Verdell & Ila (Karstens) Pfeiffer; sister, Sandy Wassell.
