Brandon Scott Baker

September 28, 1993 — July 13, 2024

Royalton

Brandon S. Baker, 30, of Royalton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Gabriel’s Hospital. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m-12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. A time of sharing memories will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Brandon was born in St. Cloud, MN, on September 28, 1993, the first son of Scott and Jessica (Gray) Baker. He spent his childhood in Rice and graduated from Royalton Highschool in 2012. After graduating, he spent a few years working as a welder. When he realized welding wasn’t what he wanted to do with his life, he went to work in Sauk Rapids with his dad as a machinist. In 2018, Brandon met the love of his life, Montana Yetzer, and the two became inseparable.

Described as the most genuine, honest, big-hearted comedy genius by those who knew him, Brandon loved his friends and family. He was the most amazing uncle, going to all the birthdays he could and was his younger brother’s biggest fan. Brandon was against cruelty toward animals and loved his cats, Jimmy and Baby Kitty, as if they were his own children. He had a huge laugh that could be heard down the block and was known to pull a good practical joke now and again.

Brandon was a logical intellectual who would think things through and not allow his emotions to sway his opinions. He would become engrossed in studying everything and anything he could on topics that interested him, which included cooking, baking, and woodworking. He built his own computer, his woodworking station and chair, a toybox for his nephews, and all meals created by him were made from scratch. Lately, he had been perfecting his chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Music was Brandon’s passion, and he began taking guitar lessons at the age of 12. He could play songs by ear after hearing them only a few times and would play and sing for his dad and friends. Brandon also had the honor of singing at his brother’s wedding. He loved Halloween and attended the Punkin-Hallows party in St. Cloud yearly and he also went every year to “FCP Fest” at the Keller bar with some of his best friends (Tony, grub, and Brady). Every Sunday was lazy movie day with Montana, with many hours spent watching old horror movies like his favorite, “Dawn of the Dead”. He said he was the River Dragon that saved Montana’s life but in return she was the girl that helped him remember who he was. Brandon loved watching comedy specials and going to comedy shows, and especially enjoyed Joe Rogan. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing videogames.

Left to cherish Brandon’s memory is his fiancé, Montana Yetzer; his parents, Scott and Jessica Baker; his brother, Mike (Abby) Baker; his nephews: Korin, Rowan, and Waylon; his grandmother, Priscilla Baker; his grandfather, John Gray; his great-grandmother, Betty Krueger; his aunt, Becky Neubauer; his uncles, Chris (Tammy) and Craig (Paula) Baker; his cousins: Ryan (Kristina) Mikkelson and their kids, Jared, McKinnley, and Maverik; Bryce and Brianna Baker, and Kayla Gray and her son Greyson; and his fur babies, Jimmy and Baby Kitty.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Coron “Butch” Baker; his aunt and uncle, Brandi (Randy) Mikkelson; and his great grandparents, Jack Krueger and Elwyn and Lola Jean Baker.
