Bonnie B. Amren

Bonnie B. Amren, 90, of Upsala, MN passed away on Monday, August 18, 200 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Community Covenant Church in Upsala, MN with Pastor Craig Johnson officiating. Burial will be held at Community Covenant Cemetery in Upsala, MN. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday, August 21 at the Community Covenant Church in Upsala. Bonnie Blanche Amren was born June 20, 1918 to the late Andrew and Nellie (Pehrson) Martinson in Upsala, MN. She graduated from Upsala High School in 1936. In 1942, Bonnie began working for the Upsala Post Office and retired in 1966 as a postmaster. Bonnie was united in marriage to Lindor E. Amren on October 4, 1947. They lived in Upsala and later moved to Pine Lake after their retirement. She was a member of the Community Covenant Church in Upsala and served several terms as the president for the Covenant Women. Bonnie enjoyed baking, especially her "famous" donuts. Bonnie is survived by her sister-in-law, Elsie Martinson; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; one cousin and her many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lindor Amren; parents, Andrew and Nellie Martinson; sisters, Vinie Swenson, Pearl Michaelis and Grace Erlandson; brothers, Walter, Stanley, Grant and Warren Martinson.
