Betty Yamry, 90 year old resident of Royalton, MN died Monday, April 1 at St. Gabriels Hospital in Little Falls. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5 at 12:00 P.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Friday at the funeral home. The burial will be held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sauk Rapids, MN.
Betty Lois Yamry was born on July 7, 1928 in Valley City, North Dakota to Edward and Carrie (Larsen) VanScoik. She was united in marriage to Alois Peter Yamry on May 21st, 1949. Betty worked for Pearsons Greeting Card Co. and Safeway Hydraulics. She enjoyed quilting, cross-stich, knitting, sewing and reading recipes. Betty loved and treasured her time spent with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, LuAnn (Michael) Cosgrove, Steve (Karen) Yamry; Cari (Kevin) Barker; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward (Carrie) VanScoik; husband, Alois Peter Yamry; brothers, Elmer VanScoik, Roy VanScoik; sons, Ronald Yamry, Richard Yamry and a daughter, Elaine Williams.
The Casket Bearers will be her granddaughters, Shannon Thompson, Tracie Stewart, Leaha Brambrink, Amber Furst, Erin VanHeel, Katie Moren.
The Honorary Casket bearers will be Bobby Williams, Jason Wolf, Peter Yamry, Cory Wolf, Tylor Barker.
