Beryl Augusta Woolsey

Beryl Augusta Woolsey, 93 year old resident of Big Timber, MT. died on January 7, 2009 in Big Timber, MT. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 28 at 11:30 AM at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service Southeast Chapel in Little Falls, MN. with Rev. JoBeth Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Royalton, MN. A luncheon will follow the services at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Friends and family will gather from 10:30-11:30 AM at the funeral home. Beryl was born May 28, 1916 to the late Henry and Meta (Lakin) Christle of Royalton, MN. She was raised in Royalton, MN with 3 sisters and 4 brothers. After graduating from high school, Beryl attended beauty college in Minneapolis. Beryl was married to Norman Thoen on June 2, 1937 and lived in Dagget Brook, MN. She lived with Norman and daughter, Charlotte until his passing on January 24, 1952. Beryl and Charlotte moved backed to Royalton where she opened and operated a beauty shop. She married James Woolsey on August 23, 1958. For many years they ranched on the East Boulder, south of McLeod, MT. After Beryl and Jim retired from ranching they stayed on the ranch enjoying visiting with friends, and traveling in the RV. After selling the ranch they moved to Big Timber where she continued to live life to the fullest. For nearly 93 years she was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed ranch life, reading, painting and gardening. Beryl's favorite flower was the Rose. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and active in the Episcopal Church of Big Timber, MT. She is survived by her husband, James, of Big Timber, MT; sister, Marjorie Eaton and husband, Glen, of Edina, MN; brother, Richard Christle of Rapid City, SD; sister-in-law, Evelyn Christle of St.Cloud, MN and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norm Thoen, daughter, Charlotte Thoen; sisters, Hazel Clarity and husband, Edward, and Jean Batzer and husband, Robert. brothers, Fred Christle and wife, Olive, Robert Christle and wife, Marcy, and James Christle and sister in-law, Lucille Christle. Arrangements are with the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. 1-320-632-4393.
