Bernice Kusterman

Bernice Kusterman, age 78, of Royalton, MN, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie, MN, with Fr. Roger Klassen and Fr. Laurn Virnig concelebrating. Interment will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Bowlus, MN.



Visitation will be held from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29th and 10:00 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30th all at the church.

There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m.

Bernice Violet Boros was born on August 1, 1937 in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Valentine Rose (Ginter) Boros. She attended school through the eighth grade. She was united in marriage to Alfred Kusterman on October 24, 1961, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. The couple lived in Little Falls for a few years before moving to their farm on the Mississippi River next to Blanchard Dam. Bernice was a homemaker and also worked at cleaning for many years in homes and businesses. She enjoyed playing cards, playing with her favorite kitty and her daughters dog, Tumbles. She loved her birds, flowers and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie, the Christian Mothers and sang in the church choir for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alfred of Royalton; daughter, Karen (Gary) Heim of Sauk Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Brittany and Adam Heim; sisters Eleanor Knopik of Little Falls and Esther Schneider of Little Falls.

Bernice was preceded in death her parents, Valentine Rose (Ginter) Boros; sister, Helen Fussy.
