Bernadine Woltman

Bernadine Rose Woltman, 85 year old resident of Little Falls, MN formerly of Sobieski, MN, died Friday June, 1 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 5 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN with Father Jimmy Joseph, Father Tony Kroll and Father Leo Moenkedick con-celebrating. Friends may gather from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the church. Bernadine Rose Jelinski was born August 15, 1926 in Swan River Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late John and Helen (Yourczek) Jelinski. She grew up in Swan River Township where she attended country school. Berndaine graduated from Little Falls High School in 1944. After high school, she moved to Minneapolis for a few years where she worked as a secretary. She returned to Morrison County and was united in marriage to Peter Woltman on June 10, 1947 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN. The couple made their home in Sobieski, MN. Bernadine worked at Woolworth's in Little Falls, MN and at Crestliner Boats as a seamstress in Little Falls, MN. She also farmed with her husband, Peter, and waitressed at Herbie's Bar in Sobieski, MN for weddings and dances. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, gardening, singing, playing cards especially smear, and fishing on Nokasippi Lake with family and friends. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN where she sang in the choir. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gerald (Brenda) Woltman of Ham Lake, MN, Dennis (Anna Mae) Woltman of Little Falls, MN, Linda (Paul) Roob of Rosholt, SD and Catherine Kliber (Ron Hetrick) of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Tammy Hofstad, Sherry Welinski, Roxane Kathrein, Troy Woltman, Paul Roob, Melinda Ceroll, Chad Roob, James Roob, Kurt Kliber and Jody Spofford; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Irene Maciej of Little Falls, MN, Dolores Stanek of Brainerd, MN, Mildred Motes of Arizona, Wilfred (Betty) Jelinski of Little Falls, MN and Ralph (Mary) Jelinski of Eagan, MN; sister-in-law, Pat Jelinski of Little Falls, MN and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen (Yourczek) Jelinski; husband, Peter Woltman on January 8, 2001; infant daughter, Mary Woltman and a brother, Art Jelinski.
