Bennett Jorgensen

Bennett P. Jorgensen, age 64 of Pierz, MN, passed away July 22, 2010, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 28th, at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz. Parish Prayers will be said at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral chapel. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be in Askov, MN. Bennett (Ben) Peter Jorgensen was born September 12, 1945, in Owatonna, Minnesota to Clarence and Mary Ann Jorgensen. Ben grew up in Dodge Center, Minnesota and graduated from John Marshall High in Rochester, Minnesota. He worked at the Mayo Clinic where he met his future wife, Mary. He was drafted into the U.S. Army. Upon returning from four year in the Army he was united in marriage to Mary Katherine Jorgensen on February 17, 1968, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Mantorville, Minnesota. The couple lived in Rochester, Minnesota for two years then moving to St. Paul for two years where Ben attended the University of Minnesota. After graduating in July of 1972, the couple moved to Pierz, Minnesota, where they resided until their deaths. Ben worked as a Farm Business Agriculture Instructor from July of 1972 until his retirement in 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine Jorgensen, in December, 2009, his father, Clarence Jorgensen, in 2004 and his brother, Christian Robert Jorgensen, in 1997. Left to cherish his memory are his five children Joel E. (Joan) Jorgensen of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Craig D. (Nadeen) Jorgensen of Washougal, Washington, Erica L. (Joseph) Brown of Rochester, Minnesota, Kerry A. (Daniel) Minnich of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kristen J. (Joseph) Wegleitner of Stacy, Minnesota; mother, Mary Ann Jorgensen of Chaska, Minnesota, sisters Anne (Steve) Hust of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Jayne Hergott of Chaska, Minnesota; and grandchildren Jennifer Jorgensen, Jason Jorgensen and Ashley Brown
