Beata Elizabeth Gohl

Beata Gohl 91 year old resident of Pierz, MN, died Saturday, February 28th at the Pierz Villa.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:30 A.M. St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Fr. Gerald Dalseth and Fr. Kenneth Popp Co-Celebrating. The burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Morrill, MN. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 2nd from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Tuesday at the church in Pierz, MN.


Beata E. (Muyres) Gohl was born November 15, 1923 in Lakin Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to John and Rose (Scheibel) Muyres.She attended District #96 country school in Lakin Township through the eighth grade.Beata attended St. Francis High School in Little Falls for one year.She worked at General Mills in Minneapolis, during World War II. Beata was united in marriage to Peter Gohl on May 7, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Morrill, MN.She was a homemaker all of her married life raising the couples five children.Beata was known by her family and friends as a food magician with always plenty of food for guests when they would stop by, she loved to visit family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting and dancing.Beata was a member of the Christian Mothers, Heartland Polka Swingers and the Pierz American Legion Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are husband of 69 years, Pete Gohl of Pierz, MN; children, Diane (Dick) Ruegemer of St. Cloud, MN, Gary(Theresa) Gohl of East Bethel, MN, Deborah Millner of Pierz, MN, Cynthia (Rick) Mahutga of Sioux Falls, SD and Barbara (Don) Scherbing ofMonticello, MN; brother, Hub Muyres of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Krisie Barron, Danna Mokamba, Erik Gohl, Brent Gohl, Sarah Isabel, Nathan Gohl, Chad Millner, Nicole Millner, Ryan Mahutga, Justin Mahutga, Aaron Scherbing, Corey Scherbing, Deanna Rothhaupt, Robyn Downer and 23 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Muuyres; brother, Arnold; sister, Rosemary; sons-in-law, Robbie Varsnick and Chuck Millner.

Casket Bearers will be: Erik Gohl, Brent Gohl, Nathan Gohl, Chad Millner, Aaron Scherbing, Corey Scherbing, Ryan Mahutga and Justin Mahutga.
