Barbara Szakasits

Barbara Szakasits, 84 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Thursday, October 28 at her home in Little Falls, MN. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls with Rev. Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church. Barbara Wielinski was born December 16, 1925 in Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Joseph Steven Wielinski and Cecelia (Lepinski) Wielinski. She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Stanley Wozniak in 1946 and the couple later divorced. Barbara lived in Minneapolis, MN until moving to San Diego, CA in 1973. Barbara was united in marriage to Zoltan Szakasits in 1978 in San Diego, CA. The couple continued living in San Diego, CA. She returned to Little Falls, MN and on April 9, 2009, moving into Bridgeway Estates where she was a resident at the time of her death. Barbara enjoyed ceramics, plants, flowers, designing jewelry and greeting cards. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael (Sharon) Wozniak of San Diego, CA, Jeffrie (Marc Magnuson) Wozniak of Minneapolis, MN and Marva Alkhoury (Ken Gorman) of San Diego, CA; brother, Joseph (Margaret) Wielinski of Little Falls, MN, Lucille (Leonard) Wimmer of Little Falls, MN, Genie Kessler of Long Beach, CA and Maggie Plunkett of Port Orchard, WA. grandchildren, JJ, ZiZi, Tina, Paul, Emily, great-grandchildren, Alexia, Brandon, Lilah, Sienna, Jacob and her dog, Kirby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Wielinski and Cecelia (Lepinski)Wielinski; husband, Zoltan, parents, Joseph Wielinski and Cecelia (Lepinski) Wielinski; two brother-in-laws,Jerry Kessler,Jim Plunkett and niece, Debbie Johnson.
