Arvilla Erlandson

Arvilla Erlandson, age 85, of Upsala, MN, died Monday, December 13, 2010, at the Albany Area Hospital and Medical Center in Albany, MN. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 9, 2011at Community Covenant Church in Upsala, MN, with Rev. Craig Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Community Covenant Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:30 - 7:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011 and Sunday, 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. all at Community Covenant Church in Upsala. There will be prayers service at 6:30 P.M. Saturday at the church. Arvilla Victoria Langseth was born on January 28, 1925 in Gonvick, Minnesota the daughter of Ole & Ida (Stenlund) Langseth. She grew up on a farm near Leonard, MN, and attended country school and graduated from Clearbrook High School. After her schooling, she worked in Minneapolis where she met her husband, Don Erlandson. The couple lived in the Upsala area all their married life. Arvilla was a devoted wife and mother. She was active in Community Covenant Church, Covenant Women, and the Upsala Community. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rick (Pat) Erlandson of Maple Grove, MN, and Pam Johnson of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Trent Erlandson of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Trevor (Melissa) Erlandson of Edina, MN, Jodi Johnson of Crested Butte, CO, and Nathan (Jennifer Horn) Johnson of Veneta, OR; great-grandchildren, Bailey Rose Erlandson, Sydney Ann Erlandson, Wyatt Erlandson, Waylon Erlandson, Scarlett Erlandson and Finnegan Horn Johnson; siblings, Lois Anzolone of Sun City West, AZ, and Marlin (Dorothy) Langseth of Clearbrook, MN, and sister-in-law, Betty Langseth of Leonard, MN. Arvilla was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Don Erlandson (1983); siblings, Dale Langseth and Glen Langseth. Memorials will be given to Community Covenant Church in Upsala
