Arthur F. Johnson

Arthur F. Johnson, age 85, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at St. Otto's Care Center Chapel. Visitation will be 10:30-11:00 A.M. at the St. Otto's Care Center Chapel. Interment with military honors will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. Arthur Frank Johnson was born on January 29, 1925 in Frontier, Candad the son of Jalmer F. & Signe D. (Selander) Johnson. Following his schooling, he worked on a threshing crew in North Dakota. Arthur enlisted in the United States Army on May 8, 1943 and was honorably discharged on December 30, 1945. He served in Australia, the Philippines and New Guinea and received five service medals. After his military service, Arthur worked for Phelps Drake Construction in Minneapolis and Bionconi Construction in St. Paul, MN . He also completed nine months of schooling for refrigeration graduating on February 18, 1949. Arthur enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was united in marriage to Lottie L. White on February 16, 1963 in Watertown, South Dakota. He was a member of the Little Falls American Legion Post #46. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lottie L. Johnson of Little Falls, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jalmer F. & Signe D. (Selander) Johnson; brother, Ray Johnson and sister, Hazel Pepin; Casketbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Kurt Johnson, Gary Pepin, Larry Pepin, Don Kern and John Schonk.
