Arnette Gau, 78 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Thursday, March 22 at her home in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 26 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, MN with Father Nick Landsberger officiating. Friends may gather from 2:00-6:00 P.M.on Sunday at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN and from 8:30-10:00 A.M. on Monday at the church. Parish Prayers will be said at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday evening at the funeral home. Arnette Gau was born May 14, 1933 in Randall, Minnesota the daughter of William & Odelia (Fuchs) Strand. She graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1951. Following her schooling she worked at Camp Ripley. Arnette was united in marriage to Conrad Gau on July 11, 1953 at Sacred Heart Parish in Little Falls. The couple made their home in Little Falls where she worked at Little Falls Community Schools as the Transportation Coordinator. Arnette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, trips to the casino, sporting events; especially the Minnesota Twins, Timberwolves, Vikings, Gopher basketball and football, attending Little Falls High School sports events and bowling for the American Legion. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and was active with the Meals on Wheels program. Arnette was especially proud of her family. Family was the most important thing to her. She enjoyed many hours of fishing with her husband in the winter and summer. She always made an extra effort to attend as many of her grandchildren's functions as possible. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Conrad "Connie" Gau of Little Falls, MN; children, Jeff (Cheryl) Gau of St. Cloud, MN, Brad "Buddy" (Wanda) Gau of Little Falls, MN, Greg (Mary) Gau of Sartell, MN, and Steve (Katie) Gau of Savage, MN; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Odelia (Fuchs) Strand; and infant daughter and a brother, Cecil Strand. Casket Bearers will be: Jeff Gau, Greg Gau, Steve Gau, Brad Gau, Ryan Gau, Norm Nelson.
