Arlene Lillian (Pauna) Makela 76 year old resident of Little Falls, MN formerly of Menahga, MN died Thursday, March 3 at the Little Falls Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Hank Frenchofficiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 7 from 4-7 P.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. The burial will be held in the Menahga City Cemetery in Menahga, MN on Wednesday, March 9 at 10:00 A.M..

Arlene Lillian Pauna was born January 6, 1940 in Ottertail County, Minnesota to the late Richard Herman and Ida Ella (Stahl) Pauna. She grew up in Menahga and attended Menahga High School. Arlene attended the Wadena and Detroit Lakes Vocational Schools. Arlene worked for the United States Postal Service in the delivery and sorting departments. She treasured her time spent with her children, grandchildren and attending their events.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane (Charles) Peterson of Lake Bronson, MN, Ron (Monica) Makela of Royalton, MN, Steve (Pam) Makela of Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Kristen Peterson-Lee, Erin Makela, Kyle Makela, Curtis Makela and Tyler Makela; siblings, Irene (Gary) Olufsonof Wisconsin, Harold (Lavonne) Pauna of Spokane, WA; sisters-in-law, Ione Pauna and Mary Pauna both of Menahga, MN; brother-in-law, Vernie Anderson of Sebeka, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard (Ida) Pauna; infant daughter, Arlana Makela; grandson, Connor Peterson; siblings, Ellen Anderson, Donald Pauna andArnold Pauna.
