Ardell G. Tembreull,Sr.

Ardell Gerhard Tembreull, Sr. was born May 4, 1938 in Pierz, Morrison County, MN to the late Anton and Anne (Peine) Tembreull. He grew up in Pierz, MN where he attended country school until the fourth grade, St. Joseph's Elementary School and Father Pierz Memorial High School graduating with the Class of 1956. Upon completing high school, Ardell worked at Crestliner Boats in Little Falls. He entered the United States Army on December 4, 1958 and received an honorable discharge on November 22, 1960. Ardell returned to Pierz, MN. He again, worked for Crestliner Boats in Little Falls and for his sister, Mary Ann Meyer and her husband Cleo on their farm southeast of Little Falls. Ardell met Ginny L. Lambert on June 17, 1961. The couple was united in marriage on July 22, 1963 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman, MN. Ardell and Ginny made their home in Freedhem, MN. Together they owned and operated a Dairy Farm. In 1986, they also began raising broilers for Golden Plump, Inc., which Ardell continued to do until the time of his death. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Belle Prairie Volunteer Fire Department and the Freedhem First Responders. He enjoyed dancing with his wife, Ginny, in the square dancing club and playing cards with the Freedhem 500 Club. He thought the world of his grandchildren and loved his farming but especially being out in the field. Ardell is survived by his wife, Ginny; sons & daughters, Ardell Tembreull, Jr. & wife, Zandra, of Little Falls, MN, Anton Tembreull & wife, Amy, of Little Falls, MN, Lucille Uhlenkamp & husband, Chris, of Little Falls, MN and Ivy Thommes & husband, Jeff, of Hillman, MN; brothers, Joe Tembreull & wife, Eva, of St. Paul, MN, Cletus Tembreull & wife, Cleora, of Cottage Grove, MN, Virgil Tembreull & wife, Bernie, of Pierz, MN and Mary Ann Meyer & husband, Cleo, of Little Falls, MN and 13 grandchildren, Jesse, David, Nathan, Kalven, Veronica, Noah, Alex, Alexis, Adam, Joshua, Jazmyn, Rachel & Samantha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton & Anne Tembreull, and a brother, Clifford. Casketbearers are Patsy Schlumpberger, Gordy Meyer, Dave Meyer, Dennis Tembreull, Doug Tembreull and Gary Tembreull. Honorary Pallbearers are Ardell's grandchildren.
