Anna R. Kathrein

Anna R. Kathrein, age 90, of Little Falls, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Joseph Herzing officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 until the hour of service.

Anna Rose Gall was born on March 31, 1924, on a farm in Hettinger County, North Dakota, the daughter of John & Emma (Lenhardt) Gall.She was united in marriage to John Kathrein on April 12, 1944, at St. Marys Catholic Church in New England, ND.The couple farmed in North Dakota until moving to Little Falls, MN.She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma.Anna cherished the visits of her family and especially enjoyed spending time visiting with family and friends in the community and at Highland Senior Living.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Charles (Ann) Kathrein of Bangkok, Thailand, Gary Kathrein of Swanville, MN, Judy (Virgil) Aleshire of Albany, MN, Karen (Dennis) Frank of Sobieski, MN, Steve (Judy) Kathrein of Little Falls, MN, Jane (Gary) Kliber of Osakis, MN,Debbie (Donnie) Dreiling of Little Falls, MN, Raymond (Carol) Kathrein of Little Falls, MN, and Sharon (Rich) Hogan of Little Falls, MN; two brothers, one sister; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John (Jan 31, 2006); and a number of brothers and sisters.
