Angeline "Angie" Janson, age 75, of Hillman, MN, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 19, 2008 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman, MN, with Fr. Kenneth Brenny officiating. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery at Bull Dog Lake. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 and 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN. There will be a Christian Mother's Rosary at 4:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 7:00 P.M. Angeline "Angie" was born on June 13, 1933 in Hillman, MN, to the late Lawrence & Annie Kay "Kingen" Brummer. She attended school in Onamia and graduated from Onamia High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to Leander M. Janson on October 26, 1953 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman. The couple lived in the Twin Cities for a few years where Angie worked at Sunshine Biscuit. They then moved to the Hillman area and settled near Sullivan Lake. Angie was primarily a mother and homemaker. She also worked outside the home at St. Mary's Villa in Pierz from 1968-1970. She also worked at Mille Lacs Health Systems in Onamia from 1979-2004 where she was a Dietary Aide. Angie was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Bull Dog Lake and was currently attending St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman. She enjoyed going to garage sales, watching TV (especially the Lifetime and Hallmark channels, Millionaire show and Days of Our Lives), going for drives in the country and eating out at the various cafes and restaurants. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael (Vicki) Janson of Little Falls, Melvin Janson of Hillman, Charles (Ruth) Janson of Brainerd, Steven Janson of Hillman, Allan Janson of Mounds View and Annie Janson of Royalton; sisters, Isabel Perkins of Onamia and Katie (Roy) Poland of St. Francis; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence & Annie Kay (Kingen) Brummer; husband, Leander M. Janson; two infant daughters and eight brothers.
