Ambrose Adam Gosiak

Ambrose A. Gosiak, 86 year old resident of Swan River Township, Morrison County died Tuesday, September 11 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 14 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN with Father John Odero officiating. Friends may gather from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday at the church. The Parish Prayers will be at 6:45 P.M. The Bowlus American Legion will pray the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Ambrose Adam Gosiak was born October 14, 1925 in Little Falls, MN to the late Frank and Victoria (Waltman) Gosiak. Ambrose attended school in Swan River Township. Ambrose was inducted into the United States Army on June 29, 1945 and served his country until December 21, 1946. While he was in the Army he received the Victory Medal and the Occupation Medal. He was united in marriage to Martha Psick on June 13, 1945 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. The couple made their home and farmed in Swan River Township, Morrison County for 67 years. Ambrose enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, driving his skid loader, farming and buying farm machinery. He loved visiting with friends and family about the good old days. Ambrose was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN, the Bowlus American Legion Post # 642, The Little Falls VFW Post #1112 and the Opole Catholic War Veterans. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 67 years, Martha Gosiak of Swan River Township; children, Edward Gosiak of Little Falls, MN, David (Jackie) Gosiak of Browerville, MN, Jeanne (Dennis) Barthel of Luxemburg, MN, Judy (Leonard) Herman of Little Falls, MN, Barb (Duane) Kloss of Rice, MN, Ruth (Rob) Dresow of Menahga, MN, Nancy (Chad) Dresow of Clearlake, MN, Mary (Glen) Fedor of Upsala, MN, Donna (Ralph) Fedor of Holdingford, MN, Sandy (Kevin) Kraemer of Freeport, MN, Wanda (Craig) Melgard of Royalton, MN, Becky (Arnie) Schneider of Royalton, MN; 59 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and three on the way; one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded death by his parents, Frank and Victoria Gosiak; children, Joseph Gosiak, Donald Gosiak, Roy Gosiak, Ambrose Jr., Diane Czech and Jane Klisch; siblings, Florence Pekula, Mary Solors, Elizabeth Casper, Agnes Psick, and Leo Gosiak; daughter-in-law, Barb Gosiak and a granddaughter, Miranda Gosiak Memorials are preferred to the family Ambrose Gosiak.
