Amanda Carrie Marie Juetten

Amanda Carrie Marie Juetten 39 year old resident of Pierz, passed away on Monday, December 23 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. A Celebration of Amanda's Life will be held on Tuesday, December 31 at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Bible Church of Pierz with Pastor Brandon Bellomo officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Tuesday at the church.

Amanda Carrie Marie Juetten was born on August 12, 1985 in Chesterfield, Missouri to Herb and the late Nancy (Dominick) Juetten. Amanda and her family moved to the Pierz area December 15th, 1990. She attended Pierz High School with the class of 2003. After high school Amanda did PCA work and dietary aide at various nursing homes. Amanda attended Beauty College and got her cosmetology license in 2013. She started working at Aveda salon in Sartell, after that working for and then managing at Fantastic Sam's in St. Cloud, (both locations), operated her own chair at the Buckman Salon and then in 2022 owned and operated her own business, Shear Bliss Salon in Pierz. A short time after she opened her salon, she found out she was pregnant with her first child and she couldn't have been happier. There is nothing more that Amanda wanted than to be a mother and have a family. Collins was born on February 6th, 2023. Not long after Collins was born, she found out she was pregnant again with Cooper, who was born on April 25th 2024. She was united in marriage to Chris Medek on September 16, 2023 at the Father Francis Xavier Chapel in Crow Wing County. Amanda was a fun loving person. She always had a smile on her face and a fun story to tell . She was the type of person that made sure everyone in her life was taken care of. She loved to cook and bake, and found any reason to do either of the two. Amanda loved to dress up and dress everyone else up, she always loved to look her best. Her brother Chris was her best friend, she always started her day by calling him. Her family and friends were her number one in life. Amanda was a living angel who would have done anything for anyone. She truly had a heart of gold, her intentions were always pure and her love spread farther in this world than she even knew! She was very strong in her faith, Amanda and her family attended Fellowship Bible Church in Pierz.

Amanda will forever be loved and missed by her husband. Chris Medek of Pierz; children, Collins and Cooper Medek of Pierz; step-son, Tony Slipp; father, Herb Juetten of Pierz; siblings, Chris Juetten of Pierz, John Schotl of St. Cloud, Mike (Annette) Juetten of Kentucky; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Nancy Medek of Pierz; sisters-in-law, Marla (Ellery) Forsythe of Waseca, Hannah (Chris) Fisk of Little Falls and many friends. 

 She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Juetten, Uncle Jay Dominick, Aunt Cindy Zamzow, paternal grandparents, Nicholas and Leona Juetten and maternal grandparents, John and Donna Dominick.
