Alyce M. Muncy

Alyce Muncy, 76 year old resident of Little Falls, MN formerly of the Pierz/Buckman area, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at St. Gabriels Hospital in Little Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 28 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN, with Father David Maciej officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery.A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 27 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of the service all visitation times will be held at the church in Buckman, MN. The Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4:30 followed by the parish prayers at 7:00 P.M.

Alyce M. Zilkoski was born October 28, 1937 in Flensburg, MN to the late Cyril and Francis (Zorn) Zilkoski.She attended rural country school in Flensburg and the Little Falls Community High School. Alyce was united in marriage to Clifford Muncy on October 9, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. Alyce and Clifford owned and operated Cliffs Bar and she worked at Munsingwear in Little Falls, MN. Alyce also cooked at the Rich Prairie Livestock in Pierz, MN, for a few years.She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family especially the trip to Alaska. Alyce was a fantastic cook, baker and enjoyed hosting family and friends.She enjoyed trips to the casino, fishing, deer hunting and playing cards with her family, especially Smear, 31 and Whist.Alyces favorite holiday was Halloween. She was known to over load the children with pop and treats.She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and the Christian Womens in Buckman, MN.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Duane (Jody) Muncy of Little Falls, MN, Roxann (Dale) Slimmer of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Laverne Schneider of Little Falls, MN, Betty Gibson ofSioux Falls, SD, Joannie (Eddie) Zilka of St. Louis Park, MN and Shari (Dave) Kirchner of Minnetonka, MN; grandchildren, Kristina VanHove, SeanFlahave, Jocelyn LeBlanc, Jonathon Slimmer, CodyMuncy, Brady Muncy and Kyle Muncy; great-grandchildren, Taylor VanHove, Carter VanHove, Alexis Anderson, Ryleigh LeBlanc and Avery Flahave.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Francis Zilkoski; husband, Clifford Muncy; siblings, Violet Schneider, Lorraine Miller, Bernie Lyon-Gruber, Carol Theis and John Zilkoski.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Michaels Church Cemetery or Building Fund.
