Alma E. Wurzer, 88 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, died Sunday, May 19 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 25 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Pierz, MN. Friends may gather from 9:30-11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church.
Alma E. Gross was born June 1, 1924 to the late Joe S. and Amelia (Weiss) Gross in Lastrup, MN. She was united in marriage to John J. Wurzer on May 6, 1947 at St. Johns Nepomuk Catholic Church in Lastrup, MN. The couple made their home in rural Pierz, MN, where they farmed until 1990. Alma enjoyed flowers, gardening, painting and watching tv, especially soap operas and old westerns.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon Wurzer of Little Falls, MN and Colleen Connie Henry and husband, Jim of St. Cloud, MN; grandchildren, Owen (Victoria) Henry of St. Michael, MN, Eric (Chayla) Henry of St. Cloud, MN and Anita (Chad) Kolstad of Becker, MN; great-grandchildren, Henry and Karalyn Kolstad, Olivia, William and Lydia Henry; sisters, Regina (Roman) Kelzenberg of St. Cloud, MN, Viola (Urban) Stangl of Pierz, MN, Hildegard Cree of Coon Rapids, MN and Angie Holzinger of Elk River, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John J. Wurzer on June 4, 2007; brother, Victor H. Gross; brother-in-laws, Denis Cree and George Holzinger.
