Alice Ann Piotrowski, 90 year old resident of Little Falls, passed away at St. Therese of Oxbow in Brooklyn Park. A Memorial Service Celebrating Alice's Life will be held on Tuesday, February 11 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis Convent in Little Falls with Father David Maciej officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11 from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. The burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery in Belle Prairie. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls. The memorials can be sent to the Franciscan Sisters at 116 8th Avenue SE, Little Falls, MN 56345
Alice Witucki was born on August 28, 1934 in Bowlus, MN to the late John F. and Mary H. (Filip) Witucki. In, 1948, she attended St. Francis High School in Little Falls, MN and graduated in 1952. She attended St. Francis School of Nursing in Breckenridge, MN from 1952 until 1955. She was united in marriage to Alvin "Putt" Piotrowski on May 28, 1957 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. The couple made their home in Little Falls, MN. They were blessed with six children, Mary, Michael, John, Timothy, William and Edward. Alice worked at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls from 1957 until 1968. She also worked at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls for over 22 years. Alice then went on to teach at Central Lakes College for 14 years retiring on May 29, 1997. She was also the parish nurse at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie for several years. Alice was a member of Holy Family Church Belle Prairie for over 40 years and was also a member of St. Anne's Society. Alice was very politically active for peace. She traveled to Washington DC with the Franciscan sisters! She loved her Minnesota sports teams, especially the Twins. She even followed the Wolves when they were awful…! A true Viking fan! Alice loved life and the wonders of nature. She will be remembered and loved by all who knew her!
Alice will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary (John) Lawhn of Rio Rancho, NM, Michael ‘Spike” Piotrowski of St. Cloud, John (Lisa) Piotrowski of Hastings, Timothy Piotrowski of Minneapolis, William (Amy) Piotrowski of Jordan and Edward Piotrowski of Minneapolis; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John (Mary Filip) Witucki; husband, Alvin "Putt" Piotrowski; siblings, Joan Benusa, Albert Witucki, Edward Witucki, Paul Witucki, Jerry Witucki and Mildred Boros.
