Alice M. LeDoux, age 90, of Little Falls, MN, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, MN, with Fr. Raymond Donnay officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. There will be a rosary by the St. Anne's Christian Mothers and the Mission Group at 4:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home followed by a parish prayer service at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Alice Mary Schmidt was born on December 22, 1918 in Randall, MN to the late Fred & Mayme (Bentler) Schmidt. Alice graduated from Little Falls High School in 1937 and from Teacher's Training Class in 1938. She taught seven years in one-room rural schools. On October 9, 1947, Alice married Walter LeDoux at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN. The couple made their home in Little Falls and later moved to the country where they raised their family. Alice played the organ for Mass for over 50 years, first at St. James in Randall; next at Holy Family Church in Belle Prairie; and most recently at St. Otto's Care Center Chapel in Little Falls. Alice enjoyed playing cards and games, especially cribbage, with friends and family. She also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and volunteering at St. Otto's. Alice was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, the Christian Mother's, the Society of St. Anne and the Mission Group. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeanette (Roger Hawkinson) LeDoux, Jim LeDoux and Renee LeDoux; five grandchildren, Olivia Hawkinson Herstein, Marion Hawkinson, Adam Hawkinson, Andy Visker and Jeffrey Wheeler; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Austin and Jenna Visker and Miriam and Nava Herstein and very special friends, Larry Saia and Ginny Guck. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Walter (Sept. 29, 1991); son, Leon (Feb. 10, 1976); parents; sister, Irene Schmidt Nordstrom and brother, Mark Schmidt. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Morrison County Food Shelf or a charity of choice.
