Alexia Waite

Alexia T. Waite, 74 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Sunday, July 25 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be at 12:45 P.M. on Thursday, July 29 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN with Rev. David Maciej officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Alexia was born on August 13, 1935 in Little Falls, MN to the late Herbert and Cecelia (Theis) Ploof. She attended school in Little Falls, MN. In 1961, she moved to Denver, Colorado where she worked at Craig Hospital for 10 years. She moved back to Little Falls, MN in 1974. Alexia was united in marriage to Marvin Waite on January 20, 1983 in Little Falls, MN. She worked at St. Otto's Care Center for five years. She also worked at Larson Boats for 10 years until her retirement. Alexia enjoyed doing crafts, fishing, camping, but most of all her time spent with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Marvin of Little Falls, MN; children, Patty (Paul) Skinner of Arvada, CO, Barbara (Steve) Gustafson of Herman, MN, Michael (Kathy) Gerjets of Mt. Airy, MD, John Gerjets of Columbus, OH, Danny Gerjets of Indiana; brother, Harvey (Loretta) Ploof of St. Cloud, MN; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Cecelia (Theis) Ploof; siblings, Herbert, Jerry, Don, Dick, Duane, Addie, Ione and Ethel.
