Albert Bert Sura

Albert "Bert" J. Sura, age 89, a resident of rural Little Falls, MN, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the church.v Albert "Bert" John Sura was born on January 7, 1924, in Swanville, Minnesota the son of Peter & Mary (Kallis) Sura. As a child, he moved with his family to a farm in Little Falls Township where he grew up. He attended country school through the eighth grade. After his schooling, he began working on the farm. He farmed all his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls. Along with farming, Bert enjoyed fishing, gardening and the occasional trip with his nephews to the hunting shack. Bert is survived by his brothers, Jim (Barb) Sura of Grand Rapids, MN and Alois (Joan) Sura of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Connie Osowski of Blaine, MN, Eleanor Krogman of Minneapolis, MN; sisters-in-law, Joan Sura of Crosby, MN, Harriet Sura of Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews. Bert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Matt Sura, Don Sura, George Sura, Joe Sura, and Frank Sura; sisters, Angie Gunderson, Clara Osowski, Rose Peterson.
