Agnes Tabatt, 96 year old resident of the Pierz Villa, formerly of Little Falls passed away Thursday June 29 at the Villa surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, July 3rd at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Tony Kroll officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday at Emblom Brenny.
Agnes Johanna Klosner was born on September 7, 1920 in Bloomfield, NE to Walter and Elizabeth (Martin) Klosner. When she was 5-years-old, her family moved to MN and she grew up in Freeport and St. Rosa. Agnes attended country school through the 8th grade and worked with her parents. She was united in marriage to Charles Chuck Tabatt on September 23, 1940 at St. Rose of Lima in St. Rosa. The couple made their home in Duluth, MN for a few years. They moved to Little Falls in 1945 where they resided for many years. Agnes was a homemaker most of her married life. She also worked at St. Ottos Care Nursing Home in Little Falls. Agnes enjoyed cooking, baking, and raising their family. Agnes loved all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Pierz Villa. She was recently crowned Queen of the Pierz Villa on March 1, 2017. She was the most loving person on this earth. Agnes was a wonderful cook. She could take any ingredient and make a great meal from it. She also had a very soft spot for babies, she loved babies.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Audrey (George) Newman of Little Falls, MN, Wendy (Rich) Waltman of Little Falls, Gwen (Bill) Maurer of Loretto, Michele (Steve) Duncan of Loretto; daughter-in-law, Bunny Tabatt of Little Falls, son-in-law, Royal Loven of Swanville; brother, Ray Klosner of Minneapolis,17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Chuck; sons, Lee Tabatt and Chucky Tabatt; daughters, Luella LeBlanc, Sandee Loven; 6 sisters and 4 brothers.
