Agnes Parent

Agnes Parent, age 96, of Little Falls, MN, formerly of West St. Paul, MN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 01, 2011, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at the Church of St. Genevieve in Centerville, MN. Agnes Irene (Dupuis) Parent was born on August 4, 1914 in Centerville, MN the daughter of Gilbert & Agnes (Houle) Dupuis. She graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 1931. Agnes held various positions in accounting for the U.S. Navy at Ft. Snelling in Minneapolis, Brandtjen & Kluge, Inc. in St. Paul and retired from Cenex in South St. Paul in 1979. She loved playing cards with her brothers and sisters, enjoyed social gatherings, travel, cooking, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She has been an active member in the Catholic Church all her life. Left to cherish her memory are her children, James (Sandra) Parent of Little Falls, MN and Thomas of Olympia, WA; siblings, Thomas Dupuis of Garland, TX and Edna Mechelke of Akeley, MN; grandchildren, James, Thomas and Lorrie and great-grandchildren, Eric and Nicholas. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert & Agnes (Houle) Dupuis and siblings, Russell Dupuis, Jean Hiles, Martha Benke and Gertrude Edwards.
